Ms. Nusrat is a 49-year-old married woman. She has been running a goat-rearing business for many years. She started her business with the support of the Kashf Foundation. She is supporting her family of seven members. With the help of her husband, she is running a successful business to provide them with a decent life.

Ms. Nusrat buys animals (baby goats) at low prices, raises them and then sells them at higher prices. Her husband also assists her in selling them in the market. She took a loan for the betterment of her business and to increase her livestock, i.e., goats. Now she is requesting PKR 40,000 for the purchase of eight more goats. She has been in association with the Kashf Foundation for six years. She hopes to grow her business and dreams of giving a high-quality education to her children through all her hard work on her business.

About Kashf Foundation

Kashf Foundation is one of the leading microfinance providers in Pakistan, focused on expanding financial access for poor women across the country. The organization’s economic empowerment program has grown from 913 clients in 1999 to 284,653 clients as of May 2012, with a current outstanding portfolio of US$32 million.
