Kasyipa's story

Kasyipa is 42 years old and unmarried. She has raised two children; her elder son lives outside the home and her younger son is in school. Her children actively help their mother around the house. Since 2002, Kasyipa has been successfully raising livestock and selling milk. Starting with the sum of 2,000 som (KGS), she has been able to increase her household's monthly income to 6,000 som. To further increase her head of livestock, Kasyipa has turned to Bai Tushum and Partners for a loan of 80,000 som (KGS) to buy some additional animals to raise. She plans on using her increased income to build a new barn to provide good living conditions for her animals, and to make repairs on her home.
