A loan of $425 helped to purchase more clothing, such as skirts, dresses, blouses, etc.

Esperanza Del Socorro's story

Esperanza, 37 years old, is a native of Granada. She has a partner and is the mother of three children. Currently two of her children are in primary school and her oldest son works in a carpentry shop.

Esperanza started working when she was very young selling bread with her mother. Then her mother retired and left the business to her and she has been the proprietor for more than 20 years. This had been her mother’s only business and Esperanza continues to rely on her and her life companion for help. In addition to this business she has another one, a small mini-store, which generates additional income.

At this time, Esperanza needs funding to purchase more clothing, such as skirts, dresses, blouses, etc. She feels that having more products in her inventory will enable her to satisfy the needs of her customers. Her future plans are to increase sales in order to obtain more profit so that she can provide a better future for her children. Her next goal is to diversify her business with other products that she currently does not have in stock.
