A loan of $1,500 helped to buy chemical fertilizers for his pineapple crops.

Paulino's story

Paulino is 31 years old and lives in a rented house in Nueva Generación neighborhood, in the city of Cochabamba, in Chimoré municipality, in Carrasco province. He lives together with his partner Eulalia and their two children.

Paulino works as both a farmer and a day laborer. He is a member of the Antofagasta union. Paulino used to live in Potosí but ten years ago he had to move to Chimoré because he was not making enough income to support his family. He and his wife took a new direction in life, starting again from scratch. Now Paulino has an urban plot of land where he grows pineapples which he harvests once a year. This is one of the ways in which he makes income. He also works as a day laborer, with the same union.

The loan that Paulino is requesting will be used to buy chemical fertilizers for his pineapple crops. This will make him more income and he will be able to help his children complete their education. Paulino dreams of a better future for his children as he himself was unable to finish school. He would like his children to study at university and be able to help people in their area.
