Flavia is a single mother with 4 children, all of whom are in secondary school. After the death of her husband, she opted to start a small business for her family’s survival. It’s from this background that she started a tailoring business with one tailoring machine. Because of her hard work, the business has expanded to greater level; she currently has more than 5 sewing machines. She has also started training lessons for underprivileged children from the nearby area due to her great love for vulnerable children. Due to growing demand for her services and products she produces, she is faced with a challenge of competition and substandard machines that are making her business to grow less quickly than it otherwise could. Because of this, she is requesting a loan of 3,000,000 UGX to buy modern electronic machines to increase her market as well as income for the survival of her family.
