Nail's story

Nail is 24 years old, single and a very enthusiastic man. He is IDP and lives with his parents in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement. He breeds sheep for meat and fur purposes that he sells to local butchers. Nail has 4 years of experience in this field, thanks to his father who taught him how to look after sheep and who helped him start the business. He receives 80 AZN financial support from the government monthly, but this is too low to expand business to respond to his customer`s demands.
Nail usually buys lambs, raises and fattens them for 4-5 months and resells them for a more profitable price at the local livestock bazaar. His monthly income is 120 AZN. People use meat in everyday national dishes as pilau and dolma and always use yoghurt sauce. Mutton is considered as very healthy and is also used in everyday life. Fur is very useful for blankets and bed mattresses that are made by local woman.
This is only financial income for his family. Nail applied for 1500 AZN to purchase 15 sheep and fodder.
