Ilham's story

Ilham is a 36-year-old man. He is an IDP (Internally Displaced Person) who lives in the Bilasuvar IDP Settlement with his wife and two daughters. He is a farmer and has raised seasonal fruits and vegetables for the last 7 years. He chose this business because it is profitable and fresh crops are in high demand. People use fresh vegetables every day and consider them healthy. Many national dishes are made of vegetable, like pilau and dolma. Fresh fruits are served on every table of Azerbaijan families and also make fresh punch. Ilham sells his crop in the Bilasuvar central bazaar. His monthly income is 80 AZN. His wife actively helps him to raise the crops. As his products are in high demand, Ilham wants to expand his business and produce more fruits and vegetables to cover the market demand. For this purpose he has applied for 100 AZN. He will buy new garden tools, seeds and fertilizers. This will be his second loan and he has a positive loan history.
