A loan of $500 helped to buy all necessary supplies such as shoe fabric, leather, adhesive and nails.

Cristobal Manuel's story

Cristóbal, 20, from Managua, is single with a high school degree and works as a merchant.

When he was very young he started working with his dad, a cobbler. This has been his first business and he has been able to get ahead.

He depends on the support from his dad. He expects to keep expanding the business in order to improve profits.

Cristóbal is asking for a loan in order to buy all the supplies he needs such as shoe fabric, leather, soles, adhesive and nails for making shoes.

He believes buying material that he does not yet have in his business will improve his sales. This will satisfy the needs and provide good service to his customers. His future plans are to establish a shoe design business in order to increase his earnings.

His near term goal is to aesthetically improve the infrastructure of the workshop.
