Jose Iraldo's story

José, 53, lives in the El Barranco, Teustepe region, in the town of Boaco. He has made a living growing vegetables and in livestock for more than 20 years. He's the father of four children. His wife is a housewife.

His father left him a small plot of land where currently he grows vegetables such as chiltoma peppers and cucumbers. The rest of his family makes their living growing basic grains. In addition to the crops he also raises livestock to sell. He sells the majority of his crops in his own community.

He needs the loan to buy manure, fertilizer, and gasoline for the irrigation bomb.

His next goal is to plant a half manzana of chiltoma peppers, watermelon, and cucumber because these products are in demand in the summer.
