A loan of $600 helped to buy fertilizers, manure, insecticides and nutritionally-balanced animal feed.

Tatiana Rocio's story

Tatiana is 22 years old and lives with her partner and child in Desvió de los Amarillos, in Ventanas canton, in los Ríos province.

Tatiana belongs to the 'Pequeños Agricultores' community bank which is located in Desvió de los Amarillos, in Ventanas canton. The members of this group farm and raise livestock.

Tatiana is a farmer who grows corn and raises farmyard animals such as hens and pigs. With this loan, she will be able to buy supplies such as fertilizers, manure, insecticides to prevent pests and plant diseases, and nutritionally-balanced feed for her animals. She makes her purchases in the city of Ventanas.

Teresa's dream is to buy a plot of land so that she can continue farming. She really enjoys celebrating local patron saint festivals.
