Darwin Javier's story

Darwin Javier, 32, is in a common-law relationship and has three children. He lives with the children and his wife in the city of Ventanas in the province of Los Ríos. He's a member of Génesis Communal Bank in the Atascoso precinct of Ventanas Canton, where people work in agriculture and livestock.

Darwin Javier makes a living in agriculture growing corn and rice and raising pigs. He's requesting the loan to buy seeds, urea, Ranger [herbicide], a fumigation bomb, and insecticide. With the help of the loan he'll be able to buy the fertilizer and the fumigation bomb.

He's going to make his purchases and sales in Ventanas. The challenges he faces are crop pests and diseases.

His dream is to buy a plot of land. In his free time he likes to read the Bible.
