Jorge Clemente's story

Jorge Clemente, 36, is in a common-law relationship and has four children. He lives with the children and his wife in the city of Ventanas in the province of Los Ríos. He's a member of Génesis Communal Bank in the Atascoso precinct of Ventanas Canton, where people work in agriculture and livestock.

Jorge Clemente makes a living in agriculture growing corn and rice, and raising pigs and ducks. He's requesting the loan to buy urea, seeds, Ranger [herbicide], a fumigation bomb, rice bran, and morocho corn. With the help of the loan he'll be able to buy the fertilizer and the fumigation bomb.

He'll make his purchases and sales in Guaranda. The challenges he faces are crop pests and diseases. His dream is to buy two hectares to grow cacao. In his free time he likes to play volleyball.
