Carlos Alberto's story

Carlos is 35 years old and is in a common-law marriage. He has three children. He lives with his spouse and the children in the community of Desvió de los Amarillo, which belongs to the canton of Ventanas in the province of Los Ríos.

He belongs to the Pequeños Agricultores ("Small Farmers") communal bank, also located in the community of Desvió de los Amarillos in the canton of Ventanas. The bank is dedicated to agriculture and livestock.

Carlos makes a living in agriculture, sowing corn and raising farm animals, such as chickens and pigs. With this loan, he will be able to buy supplies such as fertilizer, manure, and insecticides to avoid infestation and disease, as well as balanced feed for the animals. He buys his supplies in the city of Ventanas.

His dream is to buy land to continue sowing crops. He enjoys celebrating the festivals of the patron saint of his community.
