A loan of $275 helped to buy chemical and organic fertilizers for her coffee crops.

Olga Marina's story

Olga, 38, has 2 children. She lives with her husband and children in a village in the municipality of Santa Cruz de Yojoa.

Olga has had her own coffee farm for 15 years. She produces parchment coffee (dried, but un-hulled coffee beans) that she sells in a market in the area. Olga has gone through 4 loan cycles with ODEF. This loan is for 5,000 Honduran lempiras, and she plans to invest it in the purchase of chemical and organic fertilizers so that she can maintain her coffee crops. Her goal is to increase her production and also her income, so that she can give her children a better quality of life.
