Kulsunai's story

Kulsunai is 56 years old, married, and has two children. Since 1992, her main source of income has been providing the public with sewing services such as making clothes and traditional handiwork. She started her business with a capital of 20,000 som (KGS) and, as a result of her hard work, today she has 100,000 som (KGS) worth of inventory and 50,000 KGS worth of sewing equipment. She has one employee and her monthly profit from the sewing business comes to 15,000 KGS.

With an aim to further developing her business, Kulsunai applied to Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 130,000 som (KGS) to buy material to enable to enlarge her turnover. Kulsunai plans to invest the profits from the loan in further expanding her business. She plans to hire two more employees. She plans to do home repairs in the future.
