A loan of $1,425 helped to buy Christmas decorations and clothing.

Cecilia Dianney's story

In the neighborhood of Los Cerezos, in the city of Portoviejo, the communal bank "Fuerza y Valor" meets every fifteen days. It is located in a deprived, urban zone that is crowded and hard-working.

Cecilia lives in this area. She is forty-five years old, is married, and has four children. Three of her children are of age; the youngest is fifteen years old, studies in high school, and is the only one that still lives with her. Her husband makes a living in trade.

Cecilia is a very good wife and homemaker. To help her husband, she has always applied for loans so that he can use them in his business; he is the one who supports the entire family. Her husband has a small stall on an access road that is well-visited. Day by day, he makes a living selling coco water, sodas, juices, and natural water.

To take advantage of the Christmas season, Cecilia wants to sell certain items in order to make an extra income for the well-being of her family. With this loan, she is going to buy Christmas decorations and clothing to sell. She has been a member of the communal bank since the beginning and she likes it because it offers her the opportunity to start her own businesses.

Her dreams are to continue moving forward and to give the best to her daughter.
