A loan of $400 helped to buy fabrics.

Elizabeth Noemi's story

Good afternoon. Elizabeth is a hard-working woman of 43 years of age. She is married with 2 school-age children. For the past 5 years Elizabeth has been offering a sewing service at a stand that she rents at the market. This idea occurred to her because she wanted to start her own business. At the moment, she says that she sews pillow cases, sheets and tablecloths, among other things. She spends the money that she earns to pay for some of her household expenses and also to buy materials for her business. Elizabeth is applying for this loan to buy fabrics, in order to be able to deliver her orders on time. Her greatest wish would be to buy her own sewing stand. Elizabeth is grateful to the Kiva lenders for their help, as it enables her to carry on making improvements.
