Marisol's story

Marisol is thirty-nine years old and is a very good, kind, and hard-working woman. She has been separated for five years from the father of her only daughter. Her daughter is Jody and she is currently twelve years old and in school. It is for her that Marisol works hard; she wishes to offer her a good education and a better future. Marisol lives with her daughter in her parent's house.

Marisol's work is in the sale of beauty products. Among the products she sells, she specializes in those that are used in personal care and hygiene, like facial treatments, colognes, perfumes, clothing, and others. She does all of her work in her house or in the streets of the city among her friends and acquaintances.

When she began this business six years ago, it was complicated to successfully sell because she didn't know how to gain a customer base. However with time, she has been learning and training in sales techniques, and has moved forward and become a successful saleswoman.

She complements this work with another business that she also has carried out from her home for five years. She offers radiotelephony service to all those individuals that wish to communicate with family or friends that live in areas that are very far from the city.

What she likes about her job is that she has time to be able to do all of the things she wants. In addition, she can give more attention to her daughter. It is going well, since she has two incomes that allow her to plan some future projects. She now wishes to continue growing and increasing the variety of products that she offers so that her profits will multiply.

This will be her first loan with the institution. She is very happy to know that they offered her financial support, which gives her security to move forward with her work. In addition. she promises to pay her installments on time. She is very calm with the work group that she belongs to; everyone is very responsible and caring.

With the amount she is requesting (800 soles), she will buy beauty products in varying quantities, whose prices vary according to the brand and size. She will buy perfumes, body creams, hand creams, talcum powder, cosmetics, and other accessories to have in stock and to increase the variety of products that she offers to her customers.
