Mumtaz's story

Mumtaz is a 41-year-old married woman and mother of three children, two attending school. Three years ago, she started her own business of clothing sales when her husband got severely ill. She didn’t lose hope and contacted Kashf Foundation upon the advice of her neighbor to initiate her own business. She buys clothes of different designs from the market in bulk at lower rates and sells them in her community. She counts a good client list and most of her clients are her neighbors. She has gradually improved her business and is now requesting a loan of 30,000 PKR, her third from Kashf Foundation. She is going to use this loan to buy an ample variety of cloth in a larger quantity to add to her current stock. She intends to use the earned profits for her children’s education.
