Jerry's story

Jerry, 39, is a resident of Cavite, Philippines. Single, he manages his house and works hard to provide income for his everyday expenses and to help his parents. Jerry operates a beauty parlor business. He mainly offers hair cutting, coloring, straightening, relaxing, etc. He also offers manicures and pedicures. Jerry's regular customers are his neighbors and the local community, usually women. He earns a minimum of PHP 400 in sales every day. To help him continue operations of his business, Jerry is requesting a PHP 20,000 loan to buy beauty and hair products needed in his salon. He expects a boost in his business income as he expands his business. Jerry dreams of having a good life and hopes that his nieces and nephews will finish their studies. He faithfully meets up with his co-fellowship members weekly to share stories of his work. * All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
