A loan of $300 helped to purchase flour, lard, baking powder and other items.

Luisa Yasmina's story

Luisa is 39 years old and lives with her 7-year-old daughter in a rented house. Though her husband doesn't live with them, he sends money to provide for their daughter. Luisa has made a living baking sweet breads like cakes, muffins and other items for the past three years. She sells her products at a market near her home, where she has many regular customers who every afternoon like a piece of bread and a cup of coffee. She is requesting a loan from Kiva partner Apoyo Integral so she can purchase necessary ingredients like flour, lard, baking powder, molds and other items so she can bake a larger amount of bread and thus increase her sales.
