A loan of $400 helped to buy soft drinks.

Jemi's story

Jemi is 37 years old and is a hardworking, dedicated women. She is also friendly and helpful. She lives with Juan, who works, and they have two children, ages 15 and 20. They all live comfortably in their home. Jemi sells soft drinks and has a refrigerator that she bought with her husband’s help. They set it up in her home, where they serve customers happily and politely. She has had this business for more than five years. Seeing that she needed money for the household expenses, she got an idea and her husband suggested that she set up this business, seeing that the drinks they had were in demand because of the hot weather in the zone. Since she had some savings, she decided to start this new business. She likes her business because it allows her to have an income to help her husband with the household expenses. It also allows her to be at home to care for her children; she loves them very much and wants to see them get ahead. They are her motivation for working hard and she plans to expand her business and open a restaurant in her home, because her husband knows about cooking and has seen that this is a good area for this type of sale. This will be her 8th loan through MFP and she is hoping for your cooperation so she can continue with her goals. She promises to be responsible with her payments as with previous loans. In this way she can have access to other loans in the future. She will use the 1,000 PEN to buy soft drinks in quantity and at better prices so she can increase her profits.
