Rose's story

Rose is 36 years old, she is a good, kind and hardworking woman, and she is separated from her partner and is a mother to two children of 19 and 6 years of age. They live in her father’s home with her sister and two nephews.

Rose’s work is selling refreshments and beers, every Monday she makes her orders to the distributors that she works with and they send the beer cases to her home. She puts them in the refrigerator so that they can be ready to be consumer by adults. Besides selling refreshments, Rose also sells ice and fruit ice cream made from regional fruits. She has been in this business for over 4 years with her sister’s help and has also sold fried chicken during the weekends since she sees that this business is the perfect opportunity to sell more beverages. Rose still remembers the first day she started selling refreshments, all the fears and doubts that she had but little by little she improved and learned the business and now is a great salesperson and has many customers and plans for her personal and professional future like having a bar and an exclusive business relationship with a distributor, but at the moment she only wants to increase her business and that it become well-known. This will be her fourth loan with MFP and is grateful to those who will make her loan possible and for her to continue in pursuit of her goals. Rose is committed to make the payment quotas on time as she has done in the past, she is very happy to belong to her communal bank since all of the members are very good, kind and unified people.

With the S/. 2000 she will buy a greater quantity of beverages like sodas and beer since parties are more common during this season because of the Christmas holiday.
