Rolando's story

Rolando, 49, is hardworking, honest, and responsible. He has lived with his partner Maximiliana, 41, for 22 years. They have four children, two of whom are minors: Giovani, 13, and Alison, 3. Their children are their reason for working hard and sacrificing. They live in their own house and have shared the joy of raising their children and offering them the most comfortable life they can.

Rolando has a retail grocery store in his house in a busy neighborhood in the city, which ensures he has a steady flow of customers. He makes wholesale purchases and has been running his business for 11 years. From the beginning, he has had his partner's full support and help. Besides working in his store, he also sells sodas and alcoholic drinks to adults and is a motor taxi driver.

He likes his work because his income makes his home comfortable and he works alongside his live-in partner. His daily receipts are encouraging, and he expects them to grow. He wants to increase his product range as he is missing items that would increase sales. He would love to build a mini market to offer his customers more selection.

This is his sixth loan cycle with MFP, and he is pleased to have the financial support that makes him feel confident in growing his business. At the same time, he promises to make his payments on time as he has done with previous loans. He is happy to belong to a communal bank whose members are responsible and care for each other. With the loan of S/.1500, he will buy beverages, milk products, rice, sugar, and other items for his store to offer his customers a wide selection.
