Jeimy's story

Jeimy, 29, is a pleasant and very hardworking women. She has lived for 12 years with Cristián, 31, with whom she has two children, the oldest one nine years old and the youngest only one. She lives on her mother-in-law's property, where she built her house with a lot of effort and work. This is where every day she shares the joy of raising her children and working with great desire to give her family a better quality of life.

Jeimy's job is catalogue sales of cosmetics. Her speciality is cologne and perfume. She goes out to look for her friends, neighbors, and family members to sell them some product or deliver orders that have been made in advance. She has a small showcase in her house where she also sells these products to anyone who looks for her at home. She has been doing this job for about six years and she does it alone.

Occasionally she sells various sizes, colors, and brands of clothing. She personally selects and buys the garments wholesale. She also works in her house selling soda, ice, and gelatin. She earns additional income doing these jobs, which helps her support her budget.

She likes what she does a lot because she has the freedom to manage her time and organize herself according to the availability of her customers. In the beginning, she had a few insecurities, just like anyone with a new business of their own, but in time she overcame them. Now she's a great income generator for her household economy. She hopes to be able to set up a boutique to offer her products in larger quantity and with greater comfort.

This is her fifth loan with MFP. She's very happy to know she has financial support because this way she'll feel more secure about getting ahead with her job. She also is committed once again to making her payments punctually, as with her previous loans. She's very happy about belonging to her communal bank because all the members are very responsible and supportive.

With the requested amount of 2500 soles [PEN] she'll buy more beauty products to have in stock: perfume, powder, and body lotion. She'll also buy clothing to begin Christmas season sales to her customers.
