A loan of $775 helped to buy leather, soles, glue, eyelets, and other supplies to make more shoes.

Elin Daniel's story

Elin, age 35, is married and has three children. He lives with his wife and children in the Trinidad municipality in Santa Bárbara. Elin has been making shoes for 13 years. He makes various types of shoes like tennis shoes, dress shoes, and boot-like work shoes. These shoes are sold in the community and surrounding areas. He has maintained his business through various loans he has obtained with ODEF.

He is currently requesting his third loan for 15,000 lempiras. He will use the loan to buy leather, soles, glue, eyelets, and other supplies to make more shoes. With this investment he hopes to increase his inventory and his sales by taking advantage of this season.

His goal is to grow in the business and to have other shops. Personally, he wants to always be with his nuclear family and to resume his pastoral ministry.
