A loan of $1,375 helped to buy beef.

Julia's story

Julia, a 42 year old woman, is hard-working, a self-starter, happy and charismatic. She lives with her partner Homero, a businessman, with whom she has four children, ages 21, 20, 12, and 6, respectively. She lives with them in their own house which they succeeded in buying through many years of effort and difficult work. Julia works selling beef, and she has a small stand in the central market. There she has installed the necessary equipment to attend to her clients comfortably, offering them the best cuts of meat direct from the countryside. Thanks to her 15 years of experience of experience doing this work, she has earned the trust of her clients and has learned to determine what each one needs as they make their purchases. She accomplishes this work with the help of her niece, who attends to the clients with kindness, as well as another young man who is in charge of carrying the cuts of meat.

What she likes about her work is the great demand that exists for her products. It is for this reason that since she began to develop the business she has not once thought of changing course. She is happy that her business has enabled her to have considerable income with which she can pay her bills and provide a better life for her children. She has plans to grow her business by establishing another stand. She also hopes to venture into the business of raising cattle since they already have a large plot of land that is ideal for this type of work. This is her second loan with MFP. She is grateful for the confidence and support they have given her through which she can make her plans a reality. She also feels comfortable with her group, considering each one of the members to be responsible people. With this loan of 3500 nuevos soles (1375 dollars), she plans to invest in her business, buying greater quantities of meat to sell it at her stand at retail prices for the Christmas season.
