Maminata's story

Maminata was born in 1955 in Coulibalybougou. She is mother of six children and lives with her spouse in Coulibalybougou (third largest administrative region in Mali). She has been in business for over six years. Her experience in this field has given her a good reputation and she receives orders from various customers. In order to have sufficient resources to satisfy customer demand, she decided to work with Soro Yiriwaso three years ago. Her prior loans have all been fully repaid. This new loan will enable her to buy 35 bags of corn. She stocks up in the villages surrounding Coulibalybougou. Her sales are made to a clientele consisting of men and women, on-site and at the Sikasso market. With this loan, she expects to earn an average monthly profit of 30,000 FCFA. This profit will enable her to pay the interest on her loan and to invest the rest in her business.
