Soro Yiriwa Group's story

The eight members of the SORO YIRIWA group are mainly married women of an average age of 40, with 5 children. They live mostly in monogamous families in Wayerma II which is one of the popular quarters of Sikasso.
This is their second loan with the Soro Yiriwaso microfinance institution with the aim of satisfying their customers.
Assetou sells incense in this group of women and she is sitting in the middle.
With her loan she plans to buy raw materials for the production of incense; that is 30 kg of guéni and magnokisséni perfume. After production, the incense is sold retail for cash through the family to a mostly feminine clientele.
She hopes to make an average monthly profit of 47 500 FCFA part of which will be used to pay back her loan and the remainder will be saved.
Her ambition is to improve her turnover to satisfy her customers better.
