A loan of $200 helped to buy organic compost.

Constantina's story

Constantina, age 58, is a modest woman who lives with her husband. They have been together for 40 years and purchased their house 30 years ago.

After starting their family, Constantina and her husband spent years helping one another and accomplishing many things. Since they have their own farmland that they share with their children, they now wait patiently for the planting season. “My children also engage in farming,” says Constantina. She is now ready to prepare her farmland and will take advantage of the start of the rainy season. Constantina plans to plant corn and other vegetables, as well as fodder and natural grasses for her animals.

She is a member of the Communal Bank “Pampa Blanca” (White Plain) and this will be her ninth loan with MFP. Constantina is happy to have worked with her group for many years and all of the members are humane individuals who have the desire to help one another.

She will invest the money in the purchase of organic compost so that she can fertilize her crops of corn.
