Domitila's story

Domitila is 48 years old and a hardworking woman. She lives with her children, whom she loves very much and cares for in the home she acquired a few years ago. She comes from an agricultural family and all of these life’s lessons have made her an efficient farmer. She raises potatoes, corn and vegetables. She also raises cattle and grows alfalfa. Thanks to these activities she has been able to support her family over the years and be instrumental to their sustainment, alongside her husband who also supports her in these activities.

Now she is focused on planting spinach and carrots and is also waiting for her potato and corn crop. She does all of this for her three children’s wellbeing and wants to provide the best for them so that they can successful in school. This will be her eighth loan through MFP and she is happy because this will provide the capital so that she can improve her business and quality of life. She also likes being a member of the group because the members are all united, hardworking people.

Domitila will use the money from this loan to buy compost for her next crop.
