Wassa Group's story

The group Wassa consists of women who are married and widows, are on average 44 years old with 5 children, and all live in extended traditional families in the town of Wakoro, region of Koulikoro.

They met through family, neighborhood and friendship ties. They sell poultry, condiments, soap, fruits and vegetables.

The women of the group Wassa are on their fourth loan.

The client Noumou, the second person from the left in the row of standing people, plans to buy one bag of yams and five packages of vermicelli from the resellers of Dioïla. These products are prepared and sold to clients in the town.

She envisions making an average monthly profit of 30,000 FCFA which will be used for the needs of her family and partly reinvested in her catering business.
