A loan of $325 helped to buy foodstuffs, fish, meat, and other ingredients.

Esi's story

Esi owns a chop bar (a small restaurant on the side of the road) in Brenu Akyinim, near Elmina. She is divorced and has four children. Esi has owned her chop bar for quite a few years now. She is responsible for taking care of her children (feeding/clothing, paying their school fees, etc.) as well as taking care of herself. She also pays for other household expenses such as utility bills. Her loan will be used to buy foodstuffs, fish, meat, and other ingredients for the dishes she makes at her chop bar. She hopes to use the new profits from her business to continue to care for herself and her children.
