A loan of $700 helped a member to pay for harvesting fees.

Pov's Group's story

Residing in a local village from Battambang Province’s Moung Russey district, Pov is married and has four children. He and his wife provide for the rest of their family, especially their children, through growing paddy rice and sesame. He is able to earn up to 18,900 KHR per day from his current business that he has been with for 15 years. In a group of two, Pov is a fourth loan cycle client, and his co-borrower is a fifth loan cycle client with VisionFund, Kiva’s partner. The past three loans, which he has fully paid back, have provided a sufficient capital for continuing the sustainability of his crop husbandry. Now, he and his group member are seeking loans in the amount of 1,400,000 KHR each to support their businesses. Pov is going to use his portion to pay for his harvesting fees. He does believe that he will gain a good yield again and increase his income for his family’s sake.
