A loan of $525 helped to buy products for her business, such as corn, beans and rice.

Elsa Marina's story

Elsa is 45 years old. She lives in the southern zone of Honduras. She lives with her two daughters, which she supports with her commercial activities.

Elsa's business is a grocery store, an activity she has done for 16 years in the community where she lives. Her business is located in a strategic place, because it is in the center of the village. This means it is in high demand from her customers, who visit daily.

Elsa needs this loan to buy corn, beans, rice, meats, sausages, sodas, milk, cheeses, butter, margarine, salsas, ice cubes, pastas, phone cards, etc. She hopes that with this loan she will be able to meet the demand of each of her customers, due to the quality of the products and their high demand on a daily basis.

Elsa's plans for the future are to continue growing in her day to day activities and to have a small market that will generate more income in order to provide a better quality of life for her family.
