A loan of $1,025 helped to purchase soaps, canned milk, couscous, and spaghetti to sell.

Marie's story

Marie is 46 years old, married, and the mother of four children, of whom three are in school. The oldest and the youngest are 29 and 4 years old, respectively. Marie has been selling soap, packets of spaghetti, sugar, couscous, and other goods for a few years. She gets her supplies from one of the markets in Benin. Concerned about increasing her ability to stock up on supplies and responding favorably to customer demands, Marie requested and obtained financing from Finadev, so as to maximize her profits and help cover her children's schooling costs.
