Brigitte's Group's story

This group is composed of two women who guarantee one another in solidarity. Brigitte, aged 42, is the group's official. She is a widow and the mother of two children in school. The oldest child is a university student at age 22; the youngest is 15. Brigitte has been selling corn, rice, beans, millet, and other grains for a few years. She gets her supplies from one of the markets in Benin. Concerned about expanding her business and fulfilling the expectations of her customers, she requested and obtained financing from Finadev, so as to increase her additional revenues and to help cover her children's schooling costs. Brigitte is on the left in the photo.
