Josefa Juliana

A loan of $1,175 helped to buy seeds for her greenhouse.

Josefa Juliana's story

Josefa, 44, has been married to Víctor for several years. They had a family together but at the moment only two of them are dependent. Her husband Víctor works as a taxi driver.

Now she's asking the institution for a loan to be able to invest in her greenhouse because thanks to the loan she'll be able to buy vegetable, daisy, and rubber seeds, and pipes and hoses.

She says that thanks to some support she received she has the possibility of setting up her greenhouse. The support will help her buy only some things, though, and the rest Josefa and her husband will have to pay for. Josefa comments: "I'm very happy because now I'll be able to have my own greenhouse, only better, and I'll be able to have more vegetables and more profits." Josefa had a greenhouse earlier but it was very small and the vegetables ran out very quickly when she started to sell them. This was one of the difficulties Josefa had, the vegetables ran out very quickly and she didn't have the money to expand her greenhouse.

Josefa's dream is to one day be able to expand her greenhouse to earn more profits and sell wholesale to the markets in her town. If Josefa realizes her dream, it would help her improve her family's quality of life because her children would be able to finish their professional studies. It would also benefit the condition of her house.

Josefa and her husband are very grateful to VisionFund and Kiva for the trust they have placed in her by giving her a loan. They work very hard to achieve their dreams. They're especially committed to not giving a bad impression and to making all the payments on time.
