A loan of $875 helped to buy feed.

María Gladys's story

This will be Maria’s fourth loan in the “Nuevo Bankito la Ramada” communal bank. They live in the Nbon settlement, a place with beautiful landscapes thanks to its geography. Its people have warm hearts and keep the fires of their culture and traditions burning. Maria is 50 years old, married, and has nine children, six of who are married and on their own. One of her children is in school and two attend a small local school. Her husband works as a mason or laborer. They have a home of their own.

Maria is a homemaker and cares for the farmland. She sells all that she harvests and in this way helps the household financially. She also raises chickens, Guinea pigs, sheep, pigs, and livestock from which she obtains milk to sell.

She will use the money from this new loan to buy feed for her animals and building materials for her home. Her goal is to have her own business, like a store.
