Cindy's story

Cindy, 25, is a courageous and tenacious woman. She is single and has no children. She lives in her parent's house along with her 2 siblings, sharing the daily struggle for family progress. Cindy has a business where she provides services to patients who have a medical condition, or who need urgent or routine medical care. She started this new phase in developing her profession as a nurse, because she considers that the life and health of people is foremost in enabling people to move ahead. Cindy cares for anyone who needs her help, providing them with the necessary guidance until they can be seen by a specialist. She does all types of medical exams and tests, always with a lot of responsibility, respect, and confidentiality toward the patient. She has been doing this work for a year, and up until now it's been going very well. In her spare time, Cindy sells clothing on credit, based on specific orders. What she enjoys about her work is that it allows her to have time to devote to her family when she needs it. Cindy hopes to continue to work as she has done until now, and gradually set up her own medical clinic, acquiring new laboratory equipment so that she could start to do a variety of types of tests. This is her 5th loan with MFP, and she is very content to know that she has financial support to continue increasing her working capital. Also, she is certain that she will continue to be a member who is punctual and responsible with her payments, as she was with her previous loans. Cindy enjoys belonging to her communal bank, because all of the members are responsible and very supportive of one another. With the sum of 3,500 Peruvian soles she requests, she will buy sterile medical products such as surgical gloves, alcohol, cotton, syringes, and pills for minor discomfort. She will also purchase an assortment of clothing to sell during the Christmas season.
