A loan of $1,200 helped to buy young pigs and in the construction of pig pens.

María's story

María is a single mother with 2 children. She lives with her mother. María is hardworking, enterprising and very responsible in her activities as she wants to achieve her goals. María works with her mother raising animals (pink pigs). They have been running this business for a long time. They set up the business because they wanted to earn income for their household. It is the family’s only source of income and so María puts a lot of effort and love into her work.

María is requesting another loan from Fodemi. She will also use this loan to buy young pigs, and in the construction of large pig pens which will improve how she raises and breeds the pigs.

María’s dream is to continue working as a pig farmer and to become a small distributor for city markets. Her two small children are her motivation for making this dream a reality.
