Santoshi Maa Mahila Samiti Group's story

Santoshi Maa Mahila Samiti consists of 10 women from a village in Odisha. They formed a group to help themselves share their problem and to solve their problems themselves.
One of them is Basanti who was selected as the President of Santoshi Maa Mahila Samiti. The lady standing second from the left hand side wearing a yellow colored saree in the photo is Basanti. Basanti is 46 years old and is staying with her husband and her four children. She is involved in growing and selling vegetables in her village. Her husband is supporting her in this activity.

She has requested a loan of 250,000 INR, which will help her to purchase the required resources for vegetable cultivation. She says a portion of the loan amount will help her to purchase vegetable seeds, fertilizers, and insecticides, and to cover operational expenses like labor charges.
