A loan of $325 helped to purchase agricultural inputs and seeds to farm his field.

Amadou Racine's story

Amadou Racine is a young single man who has been working in agriculture for almost ten years. He is, specifically, a market gardener. Amadou Racine is a very ambitious young man who is also very respectful of his family obligations; he took responsibility early on by regularly contributing to the household expenses. He has always worked within his own means, however on this one occasion he is seeking to borrow an amount of 150,000 CFA from IMCEC in order to buy agricultural inputs and seeds. The loan will have a positive impact on his work, as it will allow him to diversify his product offering, to improve his family's nutrition, and also to put some money aside. In the future he wants to become a major trader.
