Alba Patricia's story

Alba, 28, is a single mother of two children. She lives with her parents, siblings and children in a community in Victoria municipality, Yoro Department. Alba has worked in agriculture specifically growing coffee for ten years. She states that she decided to go into this activity because she needed to generate income to support her children.

Aiming at providing proper maintenance to her coffee crop, she’s requested a 10,000 Lempira loan to pay labor costs for harvesting and to buy fertilizer to nourish the crop. She hopes to improve her farm’s productivity and to attain a stable source of income for her family’s benefit.
