Mercy's story

Mercy, 25, is a young mother of a friendly and hardworking family. She lives with her parents and her partner Wilson, 25, and their two beloved children Jean 9, and Katsumi 3, whom they want to provide a better quality of life. Mercy’s work consists of selling food. She is a very good cook as well as being very friendly and cordial, that is why the food stall is the busiest in the Bellavista market in the city of Pucallpa. Every day her customers gather at this place to taste the delicious dishes she prepares. She is a very skillful cook. She learned when she was very young watching her mother and now she is happy doing this work. When she started working in this business she sold a few dishes, but with time it increased and now she offers a variety of dishes.

What she likes most about her job is cooking and that is why she does it with great care. She has been doing this for six years and found that the hardest part is attending to everyone who enters the restaurant on her own. Her future plan is to improve the infrastructure of the food stall so she can have more customers.

This will be her first loan with MFP institution. She is very happy to know that she will have financial support as she will feel more confident in moving forward with her work. On the other hand, she is committed to fulfill her monthly payments and not leave the group in a bad position who is giving her this opportunity to increase her working capital, backing her in the communal bank.

With the amount requested, 1000 Peruvian Soles, she will buy ingredients and utensils, that she needs to replace, among other items she needs such as plates, cutlery etc…
