A loan of $925 helped a member to buy fish and sell to customers.

Abada Group's story

The Abada group is made up of four women who live in the Teshie community. They have been together for a year now. They sell cooking utensils, fresh and smoked fish and tilapia, respectively.

Christiana is 60 years old and a widow. Though her children are supportive, she still wants to sell to keep herself fit and active. She sells fish in the market and also supplies to restaurants in and around her community.

This is her fourth loan, and she needs an amount of 700 GHC (Ghana cedis) to be able to buy more fish to meet the demand.

Christiana, Angela, Beatrice and Mary need a total amount of 1,750 GHC to buy more goods to sell to their respective customers.
