Shreekhetra Self Help Group's story

Namita is a 34-year-old lady. She lives with her husband and two children. Namita runs her terracotta business with the help of her husband. She learned this work from her family. She makes earthen pots and statues of gods and paints them. She supplies those finished products to the dealers in the market. She plans to expand her business, appoint new work staff to help her, and to own a shop in the marketplace for direct sale of the product to customers. She needs a loan to buy more resources like paints, brushes, clay and ornaments for statues of Indian God and Goddess and to set up her own shop in the market. She wants to give her children a better education and let her family live a happy life. Namita is requesting the loan in a group of nine members. All the members are women and all of them live in the same community. They named their group Shreekhetra Self Help Group and they are situated in the Khurda district of Odisha, India.
