Shaikul's story

Shaikul is 62 years old, a widow, and the mother of three children. Over the course of preparing her loan, Shaikul showed herself to be responsible, conscientious, and enterprising, with a sense of duty, as well as knowing how to properly manage her financial resources and invest them in the right things. Since 1996, Shaikul has been in the business of animal husbandry and farming, which are the primary source of income for the family. She began her business with 2,000 KGS, and thanks to her hard work, her business now brings her about 8,000 KGS per month, which serves as the basis for covering her family's food and other household needs.

Shaikul also has 1.80 hectares, where she cultivates wheat and perennial grasses. Over the years, her business has become very well developed. She now has two horses and 15 sheep. The income from her business has allowed Shaikul to give her children an education. With an aim to further developing her business, Shaikul applied to Bai Tushum & Partners for a loan of 130,000 som (KGS) to buy bulls and sheep. Shaikul plans to invest the profits from the loan in further expanding her business. She also plans to use a part of the profit for doing home repairs.
