Ericka De La Concepcion's story

Ericka, 36, is married and has two children who are 17 and 9 years of age; she lives in Chinandega Department, a place in the west of the country. Ericka is a very hardworking, responsible woman of good habits. She’s been working with Fundación León 2000 and has shown her responsibility making her payments on time as scheduled. Ericka’s economic activity is selling dairy products, a business located at home and in one of the local markets. She’s been in business two years. It consists in selling products like bags of milk, yellow cheese, milk curd, buttermilk, butter and cheese. The loan’s objective is to invest in working capital to buy cheese at wholesale to take advantage of December sales. Ericka is grateful for the support Kiva lenders provide to people of scarce resources and to poor countries like Nicaragua so they can have dignified ways of earning a living.
