A loan of $1,500 helped to purchase products that are household staples (rice, sugar, olive oil, butter) for selling in her store.

Fabiola's story

Fabiola is undoubtedly a role model for the community of Cotacachi. At age 36, she keeps on working gracefully, always with the smile she has been known for her entire life. She has four children whom she teaches the value of work and the spiritual values that will help them become better people.
The loan that Fabiola has requested from Fodemi will be used to purchase products of mass consumption such as rice, sugar, potatoes and olive oil for selling in the store she owns. This is an opportunity for her to grow and get ahead so that she can help her husband afford the things her family needs.
Fabiola's dream is to see all of her family together and that her children may teach their own children what she has taught them. She dreams of buying a house and setting up a supermarket, so that people from her community can shop there instead of going into town. She knows that the only way to achieve her dream is to work and to keep a united family as she has done her entire life.
